Becoming a Local Governor with the Primary Learning Trust (PLT) is an excellent way to contribute to the success of our schools and help shape the future of young learners.

What does a

Local Governor do?

As a Local Governor, you’ll work alongside a team of dedicated professionals to provide strategic leadership and accountability for our schools. You’ll help set the vision and ethos, oversee financial performance, and ensure that high standards of teaching and learning are achieved.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who have a passion for education and the drive to contribute. You don’t need to be an expert in education to apply, as training and support are provided. If you’re enthusiastic about making a difference in young people’s lives and can commit to attending meetings and engaging with school activities, you’d make a great Local Governor!
